Jonathan Sanderson
I am the Managing Director so it’s my role to give strategic guidance and direction to ensure that we achieve our mission and objectives. I bring all of the moving parts together and I am very lucky to get to think of fun things to do with the team and our clients. A large part of my role is volunteering in the community, providing mentorship and training.

What does a normal day working for Corecom look like?
I have a set routine which involves getting up and checking my FitBit to see what sleep score I got. Then I will walk the dog, have a coffee, jump in the car and go to the gym and for a swim. I will go into the office and have a stand-up with the team at 8.30am, usually followed by a full day of back to back meetings.
I will always go out for lunch, usually somewhere healthy, like Itsu or Wagamamas. Or if I’m working from home I will have something healthy and take my dog out for a long walk through the woods, returning back for the 2.00pm virtual catch-up with the team.
I will aim to get back home between 6.00 – 6.30pm to do bath time with my kids, followed by a 30-minute burst of them running around the house. Then it’s story time for them and bed. I will eat tea with my wife at 7.00pm ish (usually veg or fish based meal). Then we will chill on the sofa and watch a film or series. I’ll take the dog for another walk and plan for the following day before going to bed.
What’s the best thing about working with the Corecom team?
The people – not only working with them but also helping them to achieve and realise their best. I am lucky to be in the position that I am in, which gives me the opportunity to give back to the local community.
How do you spend those well deserved days off?
With my family – usually walking the dog, visiting the duck pond, trips to Harlow Carr and Fountains Abbey, taking my daughter to gymnastics and meals out.
What job would you be terrible at?
A singer.
What’s a piece of advice that has stuck with you?
Education is never out for the professional.
What I wanted from this partnership was to be able to take a step back and free me up to focus on my other responsibilities in addition to recruitment. Working with Corecom alone made everything so straight forward. I wasn’t having to chase up several agencies and there was no duplication of candidates. Tunstall was their no1 focus and I trusted them to deliver, which they did. There was noticeable improvements in CV-to-interview and interview-to-placement ratios which was a real pain point before changing the model on how we worked together. Working on a retained basis gave me confidence that extra effort and resource would be put in to filling the roles.
