Diversity & Inclusion

Differences are revered at Corecom. We champion them. We seek them out. And we thrive on them. It’s a well-known fact that the celebration of differences in business improves employee and business wellbeing. It positively breeds pride, engagement and satisfaction, and, in turn, improves retention, turnover and, ultimately, profits.

However, as a recruiter, we also recognise that we have an important role to play in guiding and supporting our clients, candidates and future generations to recognise their potential and the role we all have to play in striving for a diverse and inclusive sector.

We work closely with clients to challenge and overhaul misperceptions and closed working practices. Simultaneously, we collaborate with our community partners to drive up aspirations and develop skills to create a truly rich and diverse sector.

The stats speak for themselves:

  • An abysmal 2.6% of people in tech boardrooms are BAME
  • However, innovation increases by 20% amongst those that allow for diversity of thinking
  • And racially diverse teams outperform competitors by a whopping 35%

Our D&I mission and values

Our mission is to grow a truly inclusive and diverse tech sector to be championed. A sector that benefits and embraces all. A sector that is creative, robust and progressive, with a steady pipeline of highly skilled talent. Reflecting our mission are our values:

  • Diversity and respect – Cultivating an inclusive environment whereby people are comfortable being their true selves and encouraged to share their experiences
  • Innovation – Embedding Diversity & Inclusion as a foundation for internal and external recruitment, advising candidates and clients on how to improve their D&I standing

  • Integrity – Understanding our individual responsibility within D&I across the to ensure continuous improvement, both personally and professionally and holding each other accountable in support of an inclusive environment
  • Collaboration – Partnering with our clients to raise awareness of the benefits of having a diverse workforce and of creating an equal and inclusive environment

Driving our D&I mission are our dedicated Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Ambassadors, Aishia Ullah and Dom Brown. Together they work continuously to address and overcome the barriers to building a diverse and inclusive workforce across the sector.

Our work includes educating clients on the practicalities of developing an inclusive work culture that celebrates and seeks diversity. What people say about us
We’re proud to be a 5-star rated company on Google. See what people say about us.

I’ve worked at Corecom since 2018 and I’ve loved every minute of it. The atmosphere is different to any other environment I’ve been in before and it’s really a place where you can get on without any of the classic recruitment stereotypes. I’m a big believer in the fact that if you enjoy coming to work then you’ll never need to be encouraged to perform and that’s exactly the case at Corecom.
