Metrological Case Study
Metrological is based in Rotterdam, Netherlands, and provides cloud-based TV Application Platforms for global MVPDs and TV operators. With a team of now 100 employees, they became a Comcast Company in 2019 and their platform is live on four continents. They hold a broad portfolio of international customers including the likes of Sky, Vodafone, Fetch, NOS, Comcast and MultiChoice; some of the largest media companies and TV operators in the world.
The Challenge
Metrological was experiencing challenges with hiring the right people for their technology teams. They had, for example, been recruiting for a JavaScript Technical Lead to join the company for over two years with little success. This role was crucial to the growth of the company as it would provide a connection between the Software Development Kit and Integration teams, enabling Metrological to focus on business development and to scale at a much faster rate.
The Solution
Corecom Consulting successfully found and placed a suitable JavaScript Technical Lead with the company within 2 weeks, after they had been searching for the right person for 6 months.
Another placement made at Metrological was that of a Senior Developer. Quite unusually, this Developer was originally from Zambia, had moved to South Africa, then to the Netherlands and had therefore found it challenging to secure a role for the last eight months. Corecom helped her secure a role within 1 week.
