Corecom has been a loyal supporter of Moonlight Trust since 2017, through a combination of donations, strategic business advice and practical hands on support to the charity’s beneficiaries.

What Corecom do

Our Group Managing Director, Jonathan Sanderson, has held the role of Business Advisor and Patriot to Moonlight Trust since 2016 and has been at the forefront of the Trust’s ‘Coffee, Cake and Careers’ European Social Fund project. Delivering ‘Raising Women Leaders’ masterclasses, he addresses lethargy and confidence issues amongst female refugees with a dynamic series of workshops focused on motivational tips, careers advice and planning and goal setting. His work in raising aspirations and empowering refugee women led to him winning an “Excellence Award in Business” in his home region of West Yorkshire, England.

Statistics

95% of participants in the ‘Coffee, Cake and Careers’ project went on to training, volunteering or employment, a success rate that has secured funding for a further cohort.

£1,000 collectively raised to date to feed displaced refugees on the Syrian-Turkish border.

“Jonathan’s input to Moonlight Trust as Patriot and Business Advisor over recent years has been instrumental in helping to strengthen mindsets and inspire the women we work with to overcome barriers and begin their journey to work.  His immense knowledge and understanding of the issues confronting women when seeking to take up IT and leadership roles and his passion for facilitating more vulnerable women through this, really shines through.”
